  1. I’m 7.5 years out. After losing 130 lbs I hovered at about 15 lbs over that up until about 3 months ago. Oddly, I’ve been gaining while consuming about the same calories and carbs as well as same level of exercise. Now up about 27 lbs from lowest level. Not sure what to do, but I suppose the obvious is lowering calories and carbs and at least maintaining exercise levels.
  2. Congratulations!! I had the same concern after dropping from 325 to 167. My dr kept emphasizing that my body would figure out an appropriate level and remain there. I was skeptical but he was right. I’ve continued doing the same things (still weighing, logging and exercising) and now 4.5 years later have at or about 177.
  3. Rosie has a long history of being an imbecile. Her a$$holiness never ceases to amaze me. Sorry to resort to name-calling, but she brings out the worst in me ... Like many in Hollywood, she's confusing her fame with being a subject matter expert.
  4. Recently while at the grocery store I saw a young girl (18-22) in a scooter who was very very large. My estimate is that she was 450-500 pounds. Is was late at night and the store was pretty empty. She and I were going up and down the same isles and I kept thinking about having a discussion with her about WLS but couldn't get myself to do it, fearing that I would insult her. I wish someone pulled me aside years ago and had that discussion.
  5. My wife and I laughed when reading this thread as we've noticed the same changes. I have to be very careful now to not hurt her as I'm not used operating this large equipment.
  6. I've been on shakes for 3 weeks with surgery scheduled for 12/10. I barf just thinking about those damn shakes. Don't know how I'm going to make it through 2 weeks of them post op .
