New Here!!

I am a newbie to your site, I am post surgery (Dec. 1,2009) and am just beginning my journey. I am feeling pretty well, a couple of tender spots (also had a hernia repaired) but nothing I can't handle. So I begin and with this tool may I do all that I have dreamed of and more. Thanks for having me and inspiring me to take the leap of faith.

thanks for the welcome and sorry about the delay in writing back. I am still a little sore at the entry spot, the other sites have closed quite nicely. I am ready for my appointment with my surgeon on Friday, right now Puree sounds yummy.

I think I am doing well trying to keep up with the fluids is a full time job but I am determined to make it all work.

Congrats. I am glad the surgery went so well for you. My surgery is scheduled for 1/4/10. It is comforting to hear you are healing nicely. Welcome to LBT.

I know how anxious you are, after I got my date it was or seemed an eternity before the surgery came. But is comes, and I will be thinking of you...a little prayer that all goes well and you will heal quickly. I didn't mention this previously but they also repaired a hernia for me so all things considered I think I am doing fairly well. Good Luck!! Keep me posted ...

hi there -- i am brand new too. You are exactly one week ahead of me (i was banded monday 12/7)... i also had a hernia repaired and am still having a lot of gas pain but from the sound of your post, it sounds like time definitely heals.

looking forward to sharing this journey!!!!

The key to the gas pains is walking, do it as often as you can, even if it is just around the house. Time does make a world of difference, I feel really good. I hope we can share some helpful hints and find some here, these people seem very willing to help. Help and knowing you're not alone is a blessing. Keep me posted...Good luck!!!
