Hi!

My name is Heather, I just joined this site a few days ago and I have been reading posts here for a few days. (Even posted an insurance question, but thought I should probably formally introduce myself. LOL!)

Last week I spoke to my primary care doctor about having Lapband surgery. She thinks that it is my only option to be able to loose weight since I can't exercise due to facet disease. I can't exercise because of the pain from the facet disease, yet the pain gets worse as I gain weight. It's a catch-22.

I am going to a siminar next Tuesday, the 24th. I don't know what to expect, so if anyone has any advice, it is appreciated!

Hello and welcome to LBT hlu J The more the merrier I always say! Good hopes for your journey. It’s a long road but will be worth every step.

Hi, I am getting ready for surgery on 11/24. I am currently doing the preop liquid diet. It is tough and I am hungry but my motivation to do well lets me overcome all that. The journey to get here was quite simple and I feel gave me plenty of time to really educate myself on the whole process. My advise to you is read, read and read somemore. There are many books and online chat rooms such as this one to get more information. Also, you tube is great. You can actually watch a surgery take place. I wish you all the luck in your journey.....let me know if you have any specific questions.
