Question

So my surgery is tomorrow morning. Tonight at 5pm I was told to drink 1 bottle of magnesium citrate and start my shots of Lovanox (a blood thinner). Did anyone else have to do this, and what should I expect. I am really worried about the magnesium citrate and was wondering how bad it will be. Thanks!

I didn't do the mag but i had to do lovenex for 10 days after surgery.

I did Mag...nothing much. You'll be in the bathroom many times, but after a few hours, the need to have a BM goes away.

I did Miralax and it didn't do a thing for me. I only did the injections while in the hospital (24 hours).

I hope your surgery went well.

I didn't do any laxitive at all and I only did the injections while in the hospital (24 hours).
