Huge NSV and pictures!!!!

My husand and I just went to Disney for a very late and long overdue honeymoon. We have been married almost 5 years. We both totally love Disney and all things Disney related so of course that is where we went for our little trip. Well we were there one year ago and I have a before and after picture each taken from those trips. My NSV is this:

Usually when we are there I am totally exhausted by the end of the afternoon and we go back to the room and nap and shower (usually hot in Oct there) This trip we didn't have to go back for any naps and one night I actually wanted to go dancing. We didn't but I could have dancewd all night. I did 4 days of Disney (read major theme park walking, 12 miles in one day according to my pedometer) and I was not tired, had NO foot pain and no back pain. I had energy and it felt great!!! Here are my before (Oct 2004) and current (Oct 2005) pictures. There are very few pictures of me as I hate cameras, but I am trying to get better about tracking my weightloss journey. ~Mandy

Thanks Mandy! That's great to know. I love those Dole Whips too! I hadn't thought about asking for half portions, although I know Disney is so accommodating for special situations. I figured I would just eat a bit of whatever my DH ordered. We're heading down next in January. Can't wait!

:D Wow! That is wonderful that you are feeling so great! Look at your arms, I am so jealous, lol. I can just totally see a huge difference in your upper arms! Congrats, keep working that band.

I think my arms and tummy are showing it more than anywhere else. Hubby says the new picture dosen't do the weightloss justice. I am thinner in my face too but it just does not show in pictures. ~Mandy

I have carpal tunnel syndrome, so I'm typing with clunky braces on my hands. When I clap it's like boards banging together. Can you hear the noise?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow that is great Mandy!!!!!!!! I just dream of the day. I have just a quick question for you though. I noticed your tattoos (beautiful). The thing is that I have some too and have been really worried that if I lose alot of weight it will change them. Have you noticed any real difference with them. Any advice given would be appreciated. Again CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mandy I get my first fill Nov 1st, coming right up now. I can hardly wait to start really losing and not feeling that horrible hunger pain all of the time.

You sure are a great inspiratiion to me, in fact all of you are!

Jladybird, my tattoos have not changed at all. I have them on my back, arms, legs and feet and they all look fine. Even the one on my chest is still looking good, my boobs are shrinking but so it the tattoo. Yours will be fine also. Just make sure that if you decide to have plastic surgery later on you find a tattoo friendly surgeon. ~Mandy

Tink, I just wanted to update this thread and give you a heads up. We are going back to Disney and when I made the ADR's, they reassured me that if I could show a card explaining my surgery I could eat at the kids price. So Chef Mickey's will only cost me $13 instead of $27 I am taking my card and we are eating at several character buffets and all of them should allow me to eat at the kids price. I also plan on sharing my counter service meals with my daughter. Hope this helps. ~Mandy

Wow. There is a big difference in your stomach area! And I know what you mean about DL. We go every year (we also went on our honeymoon) and every year I have been fatter and more and more worried about fitting on rides. Plus my feet are in AGONY by the end of the day. That is one NSV I am looking forward too. NO foot agony and having a better time.
