Maintain muscle

I got banded Oct 14, 2009 at 350 pounds. My short term goal is to reach 330 by end of 2009. The only thing that's worrying me is to lose my muscle mass. A close friend of mine lost 80 pounds but he looks weak and skinny. I don't want to be like that. Any advice on what I need to do to maintain my muscles?

Do some weight and resistance training at least 3 times each week.

My starting weight was 330 and I have done really well at maintaining and gaining more muscle as I lose weight. I work out at Curves 4-5 times each week and also bicycle regularly and love it.

Best of luck to you.
