Just curious if 3 days of liquids followed by another 3 days of Soup, yogurt and liquids are the norm.

Thanks!

Well I wouldn't say the norm. My surgeon only recommends 24 hours of liquid then advance to normal foods as tolerated. Liquid doesn't mean clear liquids either. Soups, Water, etc.

Every surgeon is different some err on the side of caution when it comes to fills. Others are more liberal.

Yes, every doctor is different. Today I went in for my first fill and my doctor told me that I should stay on full liquids today and tomorrow morning, mushies tomorrow afternoon and evening and then proceed to solid foods the following day.

I will get my first fill...THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING! I'm thinking that may be cruel and unusual punishment! I've asked my family to postpone thanksgiving 1 day so maybe I can at least eat a few things and not have to drink it. My doctor recommends 24hrs full liquids and then progress as tolerated. I know my band is very loose and I don't expect much restriction with the first fill. I'm curious to know if anyone tried some solid foods 48hrs after fill.
