I am a baby when it comes to pain and it was not that bad at all. I had more anxiety than pain. I think I must be a slow loser because I have only lost 25 lbs and I am 9½ weeks post op. But I have only had one fill at 4 weeks post op (2cc). I go Tuesday for my second. The good thing about the first fill was it took away any hunger I had. So far I have had no problems and would do again in a minute! Slow loser or not I will take the 25 lbs lost and walk away happy. Good luck to you!!!

Hi~I am 1 week post op and today am feeling really good. Days 1 & 2 after surgery were great, 3 & 4 my belly was very sore where the port had been sewn in. It has continually gotten better but I did learn to keep taking the pain medication as needed if you can tolerate it. For me the pain was like having a very pulled muscle in my stomach, not so much painful but very uncomfortable. I think it was a breeze! Good luck!

I am 23 days post-op. My main discomfort after the surgery was the gas pain. One of my incisions hit just below my bra line and it was a little sore for the first couple of weeks but is fine now. I did have some trouble on my second day post-op when I took Vicodin pills and then laid down. I woke up about an hour later with reflux and started gagging and dry heaving. Many doctors prescribe liquid painkillers. I wish mine had. I've only lost 13.5 pounds so far. Most people seem to lose quickly for the first couple of weeks as their bodies recover from surgery. After that, my doctor says that the goal is 1-2 pounds/week.
