  1. Unfortunately I did. After 3 years I had my band fixed which didn’t help I wasn’t able to have any fills so all fluids were taken out. I still felt restriction got stuck but did not have the reflux after that. I did end up getting my band out after 7 years. I ended up anemic and been having problems since. I can’t say it’s a result of the band. I do have 2 small ulcers near band site. Although I did lose 100+ lbs in less than a year I have now gained back 75. ?. Good luck I recommend removal as it didn’t get better once the symptoms started.
  2. Call your coordinator and check. They lost my request somewhere and insurance never received it. I would've waited forever!
  3. Hope you got answers! I battled reflux for over 2 years after my band. Finally switched doctors and had a barium swallow and found I had a slipped band. Just had surgery and they found a hiatal hernia and now have a dilated esophagus. Feeling better but only a few days post op. Dont mess around with reflux!!
  4. I had my lb surgery on 9-10-09. The diets listed above sound pretty much what mine was. The first 2 days for me were great then the next 4 were a bit tougher. I had what felt like a very bad pulled muscle in my stomach. I think it is where they sewed the port in. But 1 week post op it was like wow I feel so much better and now I feel pretty much back to myself. Good luck I feel better already!
  5. Hi~I am 1 week post op and today am feeling really good. Days 1 & 2 after surgery were great, 3 & 4 my belly was very sore where the port had been sewn in. It has continually gotten better but I did learn to keep taking the pain medication as needed if you can tolerate it. For me the pain was like having a very pulled muscle in my stomach, not so much painful but very uncomfortable. I think it was a breeze! Good luck!
