Hi there. Just wanted to see if I could build a new home with some new (and hopefully old) friends. I do not wanna be 'homeless' anymore so here I am! This is gonna be a place for friends to meet (hopefully) and talk about anything & everything.

My name is Tracy and I live in Deer Park, Texas. I have been married for 6 years. I was banded in April '07. Got 4 pounds away from goal, quit smoking and gained 46-50 pounds back so I am on my journey again. This time as a non-smoker :w00t:

Kat, I hope your shopping turned out well and that you stayed bundled up!!! I used to do all of the doorbuster stuff, but people get too crazy sometimes and I just don't want to deal with it any more. I plan on getting a manicure today, since most people will be shopping and maybe shop later when the frenzy dies down.

Years ago, my mom and I used to get up real early and go to the frenzy thing. We would go get what was on sale and then come home and go ack to bed. I really miss those times. We had fun and always ran into people we knew. I guess I'm just too old to put up with standing in line when it 15 degrees out. Matbe if I had a shopping partner it would be different. Hope all of you who went had a good time and got what you needed.

Kat, I've been to that other web-site. I started there when I first got my band. I have no problems with switching if it would be helpful for everone else. Keep me posted if you guys move. It sure is a darn shame that Alex seems to have turned his back. Seems like maybe he needs to hire a PR person to handle all of the complaints instead of ignoring them.

My sister came home with buckets full of food. A banana cream pie and a pecan pie. Looks like we will be having a feast tonight. I'm glad, I'm looking forward to some turkey.

I just went over to band2gether.net to check to see if I was still registered there. I'm still on there as Suziecat. So that will make it easier for me. Just let me know if you guys want to move over there.

I have to say, what caught me first was I fould someone from Schenectady and quite a few people from New England area. I have never found anyone close to me.

I am going to go back to visit Tracy, but I get so sad to see you all get together, although in the next year or 2 I will be living down there with ya'll...

But a few other discussins i read, every single one of them was positive and supportive, something I can't seem to find here anymore. I can deal with site changes but after checking that out, I am going to be there too, either way.

Jenn, let me know where you are going on that site. That way I can stalk you, lol. We are in this together and I want to stay with you. I will also stay here if someone doesn't want to try the new site.

I have a confession....lately, I have been emotionally eating...bad!! Well, I got on the scale this morning. Yes, I gained. I got my reality check. I did bring Thanksgiving left overs for lunch at work. So, I will be back to eating how I am supposed to! I feel like such crap for letting myself gain again!! Oh well, it's over and done with now. All I can do is move on and fix it!

I went over to the other site. I didn't register yet. I will be sad to see some of yall go away!

I didn't get up in the frenzy this morning. I did go to Tractor Supply and buy DH a big battery charger that he told me would be a good Christmas present. It was $100 off today! DH had to get new tires on his dually. Ugh...I hate spending that much money on 6 tires! lol Especially right here at Christmas!! Oh well, they were completely bald. He needed them. DH's work is slow. They are in between materials, so he won't be working this week. He is trying to get back on where he was a sprinkler fitter. Pray he gets on!! He made great money there! We have 4 presents left to buy! DH said he would get my tree out today so we can decorate it! All of my other decorations are up except the tree!

Well, I need to get back to work. I'm getting my inventory ready to enter into my new computer whenever it gets here!

Anyway, Kat, what a pain in the pattoot! If Alex is going to abandon you, I don't blame you for leaving. I'll go check out the other site. How did your shopping go? We stay home. I'm NOT a morning person and HATE crowds. Could you see me out there in all of that? LOL!! Maybe on the NEWS when I went nutso and killed someone! LOL!!!!! AND we have an hour drive each way to get to the city so why even go to bed at that point?! Nope, I stay home, in my warm bed, sleeping! Hope you two had a blast!!!

Jenn, DH wants to get a bunch of decorating done this week when he gets home. Only thing is that we need to get ready for our trip since we're leaving as soon as he gets home and gets the truck loaded. We'll see how far we get!

Cindy, hon, if you need to set an alarm on your phone to remind you to eat, please do. I know it's hard w/your mom right now and all but you aren't going to be any good to her or your dad, if you don't eat. Even if it's just a little cheese or peanut butter every couple of hours. Make sure you get something in your stomach. Hugs.

I did pretty good w/my eating yesterday. Didn't stuff myself, tho ate a plateful of food. Woke up this AM to a loss of a couple of pounds. Interesting.

Don't know what we're doing today. Depending on how I feel I may or may not go to my cousin's house tonight. We'll see.

Michelle...Thanks for the encouragement!! I'm excited about the new computer. But it has XP on it because my Cash Register will work on Windows 7, but my Quickbooks won't. And I HATE Vista. lol But I have everything ready to enter into the computer. Now it's time for the computer to get here!!! I had a woman come in earlier wanting to use an American Express. But I couldn't take it. She had no cash or checks. I was going to hold them for her, but her daughter paid cash for them. That situation bugs me! Now days, most people only use a credit or debit card.

Has anyone else noticed the Harrah's in Tunica advertisement? I mean, really??? A casino advertising on LBT????? Anybody else find that random and odd?

Michelle and Jenn, thanks. I am eating now that she isn't in the hospital. The problem was that I couldn't leave the room at all or she would try to get out of bed and the moment I got home, I would shower then go to sleep. As soon as I got up, I would drink coffee, get dressed and leave to go back. As I just posted on fb, I just got home to my husband's fabulous meatloaf and homemade mashed potatoes. Can you believe I get rewarded for spending money? How lucky am I? I love y'all and will check out the other site as well. I will let you know if I get the same screen name.

Well, I did it. I ate a piece of Pecan Pie. And it was wonderful. In the last week since my surgery I managed to lose 4 pounds, I hope I haven't put to much of a dent into that. But it was so good.

Hubby's home town high school went to the State Finals for football this evening. They played in the Dome in St. Louis and with 16 seconds left in the game they scored a TD and won the game. We got to watch it on TV. It was a lot of fun to watch though. I kept looking at the crowd to see if I saw any of his cousins there.

Cindy, glad to hear you are home and your mother also. I will still keep her in my prayers. That was so nice of your husband to fix a meal for you, how sweet.

I'm just quick checking in - dd is now sick - poor thing. I have to shower and get myself together - have to be to the fd at 8:30 we have live fire training today. I'm kind of anxious-excited all at the same time. I couldn't do the last one because I didn't have my physical clearance. Here is my workout of the week

Good Morning Girls, My two days of laziness are over with. Back to work this morning. It's only a 3 hour shift but I have to get up and move. And on top of it, it's really cold here this morning. Brrrrrrr.

Jenn, you amaze me. You've gotten so involved with the FD. I've seen them all dressed up in their outfits and that seems like such a chore to just put all that stuff on, let alone have to move around in it. How do they kneel down and get back up??? Hope your dd gets to feeling better soon.

Michelle, Did you guys just have a storm or getting ready to have one. Supposedly it is headed this way. Not sure how much precip we are supposed to get. They aren't sure if we will get rain or snow yet.

The Weather people are saying our first measurable amount of snow will be Dec. 4th. Oh great, not only is that the day that hubby is being accepted into church but it is also our 28th wedding anniversary. So right now we are not making any plans for dinner yet. We will wait and see what goes on. I'm holding out hope that the bad weather will hold off for a day or two.

Kat and Tracy. I haven't talked to Janie in a very long time. I've been thinking about her alot here lately. Think I will give her a call and see if she wants to meet up in Columbia. The last 2 years we have done that in November and did shopping while we were there. I feel like such a heal for not calling her to do it this year. Time has just gotten away from me. She is just one of the sweetest people I have met in a long time.
