Hi there. Just wanted to see if I could build a new home with some new (and hopefully old) friends. I do not wanna be 'homeless' anymore so here I am! This is gonna be a place for friends to meet (hopefully) and talk about anything & everything.

My name is Tracy and I live in Deer Park, Texas. I have been married for 6 years. I was banded in April '07. Got 4 pounds away from goal, quit smoking and gained 46-50 pounds back so I am on my journey again. This time as a non-smoker :w00t:

Got the fudge made and cut up and put in a pretty tin. I'll be glad when it is out of the house later today.

I'm a huge advocate about my band and have no qualms talking to anybody about it. When someone ask me a question, I take the time to explain it and how it works and how much I love it. Having said that, I don't go around wearing a neon sign on my head stating that I have a band. I come here because you all know how I feel about my band and what we go thru with it. I find comfort in sharing with you guys my trials and errors. But on Facebook it is a different story. More then half of the people on there don't know I have a band. If and when they find out, I will be more then willing to chat with them. But I would really appreciate it if someone would not link me to there from here. I think that is my decision and not some person that stops by and reads something and then tries to post it on FB. I do hope that they get that fixed so it is one less thing for me to worry about.

The weather has changed her. Rain and grey skies. 45 degrees and the temps are falling. It's supposed to be in the low 20's in the morning. Kinda wish I was cooking a bird. Keep my house a little warmer. Glad that I will be having the fireplace going all day.

It took me 30 minutes to even find the thread....then it didn't "remember" where I left off reading, so when I clicked on "last unread post", or whatever, it took me all the way to Tracy's post #1. Oh Plain. I hate to see you leave. But I do understand. If it wasn't roke, why fix it. I didn't have a problem with the old version.

I left work early tonight. Turned the lights out and locked the doors. In the 3 hours I had 3 customers, so at 5:30 I cleaned up and shut the computer down and left. I'll tell my Boss monday when I see her. She won't have a problem with it. No sense in paying someone to just sit there.

Now it's home to a nice warm cozy house. Hubby ran the sweeper while I was gone. He knows the way to my heart. To late to start a fire so I wil just turn my blanket on and cuddle in front of the tv.

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Right now I'm missing the fact that we won't be having turkey and all the trimmings today. But that's ok, I'm thankful to be feeling a whole lot better.

Not much going on today here. It's bitterly cold out so I'm re-thinking going to church at 9am. The rest of the day will be football and movies.

I am not going to be near my sisters today. We are going to franks dads today. I do not have to worry about being around my sister for another month.

It will still be a tad bit strange being around the inlaws but i think it will all go well.

Tracy, so glad to hear that you had a great day. I know you were stressed over your sister, now she has to live with what she did.

Hubby and I had a real nice sit down dinner. It's was fun to see him eat so much. Made me feel good that he enjoyed my cooking. I did pretty good with my eating and all went down just fine. But tomorrow is a new day and I'm back to the losing side again.

No shopping for me tomorrow but I do want hubby to get me out for a little bit. Wish I could get out for a long walk. But a nice little drive will have to do.

I was thinking about you and I am glad your day went well. Our food was good and I am surprised I didn't get sick. I ate a small saucer of dressing when it came out of the oven and almost ate it too fast. I realized this morning. I had not eaten since Tuesday afternoon. Yesterday I only had 6 vanilla wafers.

I'm going to head to bed, tomorrow I'm getting my tree up and going to curl up on the recliner in my room, have a nice little fire, a little music and my computer and take a few practice test so I know where I need to study for my state test. I'm getting a little anxious and need to focus

Yeah, Jenn, I was mad, and I am just frustrated. Frustrated with the site screwing up---I seriously did NOTHING to cause my post to vanish---so I figure they must be screwing with things still. But what frustrates me the most is the fact that we do not warrant any updates. Even as a moderator, and I do not see myself above a member, but they want us to help them, but they refuse to help us help others......Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

I DO have another thought on the matter, there is another lap band site. it is not as busy as this one by far. It is done by former LBT-ers. But it also changes much less, and is smaller overall, but has much the same overall format etc. If things don't change here, we could move our group to the other site, you can go check it out if you like. It is www.band2gether.net see what you think. Would still allow us to have others join as they do here----and we would still be on a band site.

I feel many things over this. I know alex is going through some things, I get that----but come on. He has told people with problems to contact him, and then he ignores it---so they dog me! He does not keep anyone except maybe Susan in the loop. Just tired tonight maybe----but seriously considering giving up on LBT. I will keep up with everyone through FB. With no email notifications and all, it is an irritant to get here, not the excited looking forward to seeing what my friends are doing that it used to be.

This is not all due to the upgrade. For weeks, maybe months, when a complaint comes in, there are 2 of us who respond. Period. I know for a fact he is getting as sick of it as I am, he has PM'd me over it. I am just ready to let them have it all.

Rick and I are doing the Black Friday shopping in the morning!! WooHooo!!! Not really anything serious we need to get---plan to do Kinsey's shopping at Target if I luck out----I want the keyboard they have on sale----as well as an Easy Bake oven!!! Then I want to go to Home Depot and buy a new washer and dryer! Seriously---so much $$$$ but the sale makes me wanna pull it from savings and do it now. My washer is on its last leg, it does not agitate well.....which agitates me a lot!!!! We are going to go look anyway!

Anyway, we have a few things to get, will get as much of our shopping done as we can---and then go have Breakfast, then come home and go back to bed for awhile!!! It is tradition with us! This year it is going to be COLD below zero cold! So no standing in line for us! but we will show up at opening time and hope for the best! He is so good about doing things like this with me! He stays in a good mood through it all!

We had a nice dinner today, I ate WAY too much. Enjoyed it all! Sent everyone home with lots of food, took plates to my inlaws who were sick---but they wouldn't have come anyway---part of her martyr thing, if Rick's sister and us will not all get together, then she will not go to either one of their houses. They stay home and do without Thanksgiving and it is all our faults.....waaahhhh. I do not have room for their entire family here in my house. period, end of story. Ask Suzie, my house is little! His sister does not invite us over there.....so. She can do without! LOL No, I sent food. But refuse to be "martyr bullied"!!! LOL

Rick even told her "Go to Brenda's, it will not hurt my feelings, GO" but nope.....if the family is not getting together, then she has no reason to go. Ok fine! LOL
