Good evening, Violets..

Well, I am officially now an "old person". We went and picked out a cane for me. I think it will be helpful at the airport and in Texas. BUT, it's kinda snazzy.. it's purple with flowers on it. The Bobster said... "you're picking it because it's purple??". Then he told the clerk, "the strange thing is, I understand why she's picking that one".

Another good day of eating. The pizza was scrumptious. And we have 1/2 a pizza left over for lunch tomorrow. I also bought a bunch of WW meals for lunches plus a couple of WW desserts. Tonight my snack will be fresh strawberries with Splenda. I've only had one snack today.. 4 Triscuits with swiss cheese.

I took some pics of the flower beds and will post them on Facebook. Things are really starting to green up. BUT.. freeze warning for tonight. :thumbup::thumbup: Hope my Morning Glories make it!

Off to watch tv and then read my book. Oh.. our waitress at the pizza place told us her daughter's names were Kaylie and Kindle. I said I could remember those names! Our cat is Kaylie and we both have Kindles. She was slightly amused.

We are hosting a happy hour here today. We've got 40 burgers, 32 hot dogs...and have NO IDEA how many people are coming over! Don't be surprised if I show up in TEXAS w/ extras. I'll make sure to take pix.

I hate mother's day, as you know...and now, I've got the waaayyyyy puffy eyes to prove it. Had a slight melt down last night, and today, I can barely see through these little slits.

I got an unfill yesterday. Just a slight one, and he left me with 1.2. I MIGHT leave it out a bit, IF I am going to follow WW. I told him about WW and he likes that it holds me accountable. Talk about paying attention to what goes in the pie hole. He did mention that he could do the bypass on me. I know 3 people he's done it on, with such great success. Thinking about thinking about it. :thumbup:

Good morning, Violets...

Time is flying by!!! In just a week some of us will be getting together once again to celebrate our Violet-ness and Haydee's wedding. CAN'T WAIT!

I got the first packing done yesterday. Now to re-evaluate. Checked out the weather for Texas and it's supposed to be in the 90's daytime and 70's night. That's going to be a big shock to my system. We are getting 1 inch of snow on Saturday!! Highs are in the 40's and 50's and lows in the 30's. What a difference distance makes.

No Ethan today. Joe isn't working at all. I was to get him for awhile when Bob and he went golfing, but it's cold and rainy so that's a no go. I'm going to call and ask for him to come over for a bit anyway just so I can see him again. I need to read his new books to him as well.

Looks like Joe isn't leaving until the 21st, so he can watch the dogs while we are in Texas. I have a friend who will watch them when we go to Canada at the end of the month. She also will babysit Ethan if Jen can't find anybody else, so at least there is a backup for Gramma.

Just finished my tuna for breakfast. We had strawberries and banana for a snack last night. Very yummy. This WW thing is working out well. I don't count points religiously, but it has really helped with the snacking and that was my downfall.
