Hello Ladies, I am still here...Christmas was good...got a laptop for me....we are wireless now....and got my daughter a itouch...she is addicted...lol...and we got hubby a DVD player so he can watch movies on his daily commute to Chicago...now just have to set him up with Netflix....had a little gain over the weeknd...gosh, i could feel it Friday night...too much stuff....well too much eggnog maybe....and cookies... and french silk pie ugh, full again just typing it...but its gone and over with. Still nothing on job front...even Weight watcher's has disappointed me...hopefully 2010 will be better...

Did anybody get Jenny McCarthy Shape game??? We got it for PC, and I installed it today-it comes with a camera, which, the new laptop has one also, and it says it can't run, because I need a video card????I am also having issues -I have a purchased version of Office 2003 and want to upgrade/transfer it to new PC, but product code/key I have keeps saying no good...I need a guru to help me...Why does it have to be so hard???

Good morning, Violets..

I got to sleep in this morning!! No Ethan today. I have a hair appointment at 2 and that's my obligation for the day and evening. Seems so strange to not have meetings or rehearsals or anything!!

The house smells wonderful with the turkey carcass boiling in the roaster. I'll let it go until this evening and then strain it and have great stock for turkey noodle soup tomorrow.

I am on day two of no sweets and I weighed in this morning and lost 2#. Most of that I'm sure was water weight. I took a water pill yesterday. Haven't done that in months and months. Today's goal is no sweets, no eating between meals and 30 minutes of exercise. OMG.. it's the bandster rules.. who knew??

Sorry I can't help with the computer issues Irishmae. Perhaps Laura can.

How's the new carpet, Laura??

I'm going to have to start thinking about putting the Christmas decorations away. The Bobster is heading to his new church today to get books over there and get his feet wet. He has a funeral there on Saturday so is meeting with the family today since we will be gone Thursday and Friday.

Michelle.. look for us on TV Thursday afternoon! We will be in the first row behind the Piston's bench. I think there is a row of tables in front of us and then the Pistons. At least that's what the picture showed. Can't wait!!! Kris's favorite, Tayshaun Prince hasn't played all season and he just played in the last game, so he should be there ready to play Thursday. She's sooooo excited. It will get her mind off losing her cat too.

Off to get some breakfast. Not going to go without like yesterday.

buenos dias violetitas! i'm back today... i'm gonna go through my overflowing email box here at work and then i'll be in later to check up on all your shenanigans while i was gone!

Don't let it be said that I do anything halfway. I went to the doctor this morning -- she started out saying, Adults rarely get ear infections......then she looks in my right ear (the better one) and says, Oh my, that is impressive!! [Not what you want the doc to say about an infection!] Now she moves to the left ear -- We need to get you some Sudafed NOW so that ear doesn't rupture. Great! She says, Go across the street and buy the Sudafed and take while you are in line to pay for it -- I am not kidding. Um, ok. So I got a steroid shot, antibiotics and bought Sudafed. She said if I made it through today without it rupturing, I should be good. How does one 'baby their ears'? I'm thinking no loud noises and napping is a good start......

Crud, I've got that self-study stuff to do.....Maybe that will put me to sleep.

Ahhh, it feels good to be home. I'm sick though. I've had fever and stomach issues for two days now. Only good thing is that I'm down 5 lbs...

Mae - sorry, I am no help with anything computer related and also with signatures here on lapband. Most of the time I have to get Laura to help me figure stuff out... Once you get the workout program working let us know how it worked out!

Suzy - WOW, that sounds painfull! I hope it doesn't rupture! And great job with your CPA stuff! You still have two more days to go!

Jane - please post a pic with the scarf all wrapped around you! I would love to see it!

And speaking of secret santas, I just tracked my gift to make sure it arrived and it won't even be there until tomorrow! Gah! Sorry to my violet with no present yet. You know who you are! My procrastination, along with foul weather, both coming and going, made the present extra extra late!

Ah, pam, the margaritas at Las Casuelas are calling my name! I've never had another one as good, even here in Texas!

I would love love love to join ya'll for a summer trip to PS but unfortunately i am already out of vacation time for 2010. We leave for our annual family trip to Isla Navidad in March, then honeymoon in costa rica in May and then another family vacation in September. That's my three weeks right there! Maybe I can come for a looonng weekend? Hmmm, we will see...

ok, back to work for another little bit and then i'll be back again, LOL

Um, June or July...it is 110-120. Might not be the best time. Perhaps early Fall before the holidays.

We had a wonderful night last night. Went to MNF at Las Cas (the margie did not taste good w/o you Michelle :biggrin:). Then we went to Yougart on Tap, and came home and watched two movies. The Prey and Final Destination 3. We are having a great time w/ Sarita...and she is loving it. Stef was w/ us too!

Today is massages, lunch and maybe another movie! I want to see Nine on the big screen. Judy, wasn't the movie funny?? The entire audience was cracking up...we asked people all night if the "poked smot"? HAHA...great movie.

OK...off to check this and that! Haydee...can't wait to hear about your trip! Laura...wanna see the B & A pix of the carpet! Mae...can't help ya on the puter.

I was trying to pick a time when you weren't working, PamELa. Just a thought.

Had some dark meat turkey for breakfast and I pb'd it. It's still feeling uncomfortable. But I didn't say.. oooops gotta have something so it might as well be chocolate covered cherries or ice cream bars. NOPE.. I'll wait until lunch and have some tuna. Hopefully that will stay down.

We could do late June, rent a vacation house...and stay in the pool all day! Janie can make her famous blended margies and we can get prunny!! I love the heat.

aaaah, i wish i was there already... sign me up! even if just for a long weekend...

My tummy issues just won't go away. I've been drinking gatorate like crazy and that's it... And my fever came back but I took some liquid children's motrin and feel a thousand times better. I was feeling all weak and sickly and now it's just my tummy that hurts...

Yep, Jane, it was just to my grandma's house that we went to. It's about 5 hours away, we drive there. It's right at the border. Reynosa. It's were I'm from. It's pretty much the same thing everytime we go. We drive there, cross the international bridge, stop at the big HEB that's in town, stock up on groceries, and then head to grandma's. When we are there all we do is veg, and sit around talking and eat eat eat! My grandpa has alzheimers so we try to talk to him as much as we can before he gets further along. He loves my dad so much and he just cries and cries when he sees him. And then again when we leave, he just bawls like a baby because we are leaving...

I'm counting the minutes until 5pm. I was going to leave early because i'm not feeling good but I have so much to catch up on here! I'm drowning in papers!

I thought haydee's wedding was our trip this year...? But if u r forcing me to vacation... lol... maybe when next year's 2010-2011 school calendar comes out Pam can find a Fall long weekend or some such thing... or, we can pre-plan a wintery 2011 gathering... just thoughts... as I m sitting here @ the barn...

I just picked up Wishing' & Hoping' @ the library & will start it now....

Tonight we're going to friends tonight for dessert & games... should b fun...

A longggg weekend would be awesome. The big get together is the wedding, of course. But an R&R to Palm Springs sounds great too.

I read Wishin and Hopin on the Kindle. Liked it. Haydee.. you're going to love the Kindle. I'm just finishing up Three Cups of Tea. Then I have about 4 books that I downloaded for free, plus I have books I downloaded with PamELa's gift to me and my friend Betsy got me a gift certificate so I can download a ton more. I have never read so much in my life. I really love it on the computer. I can sit in the living room with my puter on my lap and read away.
