Enlist in the Navy

I want to join the Navy once I get to my goal weight. Does anyone know if they will accept me? I called the recruiter and he was not sure. He said it depends on MEPS. Is anyone out there who had lap band surgery and joined the NAVY?

    As a spouse of a marine they make it hard for you to qualify to go overseas with your spouse. The military's reasoning is special medical needs and dietary needs may not be met in certain cituations. I waited 2 years to complete our tour in Okinawa, Japan. The enlisted in the seminar with me were told and had to sighn a paper stating the knew they would not be allowed to reenlist.
