band not tacked down

anyone recently banded and the band was not able to be tacked to the stomach... any problems... please respond if you have answers

Was your surgeon UNABLE to sew it into place, or did he choose not to, or did the stitches come loose?

No I've never heard of it. Did he say why? I think that's going to make you more prone to slips but I'm just inferring that from what I know about the band. It needs to heal into place and that is vital to prevent slips. Plus it needs to heal properly as a hedge against erosion.

Was he lacking in skill? What was wrong?
