Ok my 1st. year banded is over and I have stared all over like it is the 1st. day post-op. I changed my ticker to show That I am just starting over. I have 50 more lbs to lose and I gained 9 lbs this last month. It seemed like I was most focused at the begining of this journey so I am starting over day 1. Has anyone else tried this? I really need to be as focused and as desperate as I was when I was 386 lbs. I need to get my edge back. eat like day 1, workout like day 1, need like day 1.

Bigpapa this is a great idea, sometimes it's eassier to see where you need to be rather then where you been!

I think soneone can get complacent and loose sight of the light at the end of the tunnel.

So knock out these last 50 lbs like your a fresh out of the box bandster

Go for it!!!!!!!!!!

bigpapa- i think it is wonderful that your determination is re-established. if you lost in the beginning, then you can lose in your new beginning! good luck! lisa6

what a fantastic idea. renewed motivation is key.

many of us are food addicts, and like any addict, if you fall off the wagon, it's like you never stopped using, you start all over again from scratch. i am not saying you are an addict, OR that you fell off the wagon, just comparing how important starting over is on such a tough, life-long, journey.

great idea! Best of luck!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
