September 2009 Band Date

Sorry if this thread has already been started but I looked around a bit and couldn’t find one. I think that those of us who are scheduled for September need a place to support each other, help pass the time, and not spam up the boards with a thousand approved threads:tongue2:!!! I am so excited to being this journey. So, how about it? Any lost September banders out there?:):)

Hi everyone. I am being banded September 1rst by Dr. Robert Snow in Hurst, Texas. I have made a ticker and added it to my signature but does anyone know how to add it where it will show up with my posts?:)

Hello!! Finally I find one for September although I must say the peeps in the August one were very very sweet. Ok here it goes. I am 38 years old with 3 sons. I work fulltime at a desk and have resisted any type of exercise for the past few years. Franky it hurts to even get around when you are this big but I am so tired of being heavy. I'm also tired of having sweat collect in creases that don't belong on my body and under spots that used to be up higher on my body, if you catch my drift.

My surgery date is September 8th with Dr. Snow. I can't wait !!

I am about 5'11, 310 with a bmi of 43. I start my preop on September 3rd and I also have no idea what shake to get, I hear so many horror stories about taste, consistency and what they do to your intestines. So if any of you have suggestions please pass them along.

I hope to get to know each and every one of you as we collectively go through this journey of a lifetime.

Blessings to you and yours..

Hi Dr. Snow is also doing my surgery on September 1rst good luck.

hello,

I am also due to be banded on 9/1/01.....

we need to keep in touch...:)

I'm also being banded on 9/1/09.

Wow! So many scheduled for September! That is AWESOME.

I am scheduled today for 09/09/09 as well. That is a date I will never forget. Are you all as excited, scared, hopeful & worried as I am??

All of the above. Can't wait! I am going to start my pre-op diet on Monday even though my doctor only requires 5 days pre-op diet. I am also going to start walking on my treadmill, Monday. So hopefully all goes well. We will all suceed. We just all need to stick with it and stick together. Yeah for the September 09 bandsters! Yes we can!

HI, I am new to this list..just joined tonight.

I am 48, 5'3" and 230 pounds! Type II diabetic on insulin!

I am scheduled to have a band on Sept. 4th.

must find out how you all did the tracker thing..like that!

Hope I can get as excited about this as you all are! I am still questioning it!

Wish I had support at home, but that is never going to happen!

Nice to meet you all!

Hello,

the ticker will show up when you post, it is part of your signature.. the signature portion is found under the miscellaneous option- under the reply section when you place a post

also, I am also due for my band on the first also...

Hello and welcome,

hope all is well..

here is how to get to the ticker...

go to the Home Page,

then look for Basics for lap band surgery for beginners,

then frequently ask questions,

then lap band talk forum-frequently asked questions,

then use the search section- type in ticker,

there is step by step tutorial with pics..

hope this helps

take care

Hello,

I am thrilled to have a September 1 surgery date! So close!

I only have to do a 3 day clear liquid diet ("only", ha ), and until then I appear to be in "last supper" mode, eating all the stuff I am afraid I will miss. I am not too worried about it since I have just 3 weeks till surgery and I know I will lose on the liquid diet (last time I did one of those, with some food, I lost 11 lbs in 3 days).

Good luck to you all, and I look forward to hearing all of your stories.

welcome..

I am also scheduled for 9/1/09..

good luck to you also:tt1:

Hi everyone! Im so glad this got started! My surgery date is Sept. 2! I found out at the beginning of August I got approved. And like many of you guys I took it on myself to go ahead and start working out and eating right. I had a few moments where I thought I can do it myself and I lost 13 pounds. Then I went on Vacation and finals for school started and I managed to gain most of it back much much quicker than it took to lose it. That settled it for me...NO MORE GAMES IM GOING ALL OUT THIS TIME!! I actually do not have any type of pre op diet but I am going to continue to try to do better and work out! Good Luck everyone keep me updated!

Is there an official September 2009 GROUP yet?

I found out end of July early Aug that I was approved, and my surgery is set for Sept. 4th!

I decided to start my own pre-op diet today of full liquids and I also exercised for 30 minutes on my treadmill. Feel great and not even hungry. Well good night all. Have to work in the morning.

Hello everyone. My surgery date is September 1. I've had my preop nutrition class and my visit to weigh in with my surgeon. I start my liquid diet next Wednesday - exactly the day that company comes to visit for 5 days! Uuugh! I think I will have 1 meal with them on the 1st day (sort of my last supper) and then begin my liquid diet. I hope someone visiting is a pleasant distraction to being on a liquid diet. Lots of luck to all of you!
