Hi! I'm having lap band surgery in September

I'm having it in Mexico as I have a great many friends in Texas and Mexico and feel very comfortable with the doctor.

I gained 50 pounds in the past two years after a bad accident and two surgeries! I'm scared, but hopeful. I find that with this much weight, I can't do hard exercise without real pain to the joints (knee and thigh) that were operated on!

This seems like a way to get healthy again.

I'm much older than most of you ... 52.

Congratulations on your decision. With 7 kids it's no wonder your knees hurt! And BTW, 52 isn't old. I was 63 when I was banded.
