I'll be three weeks post-op on Monday and I decided to go shopping today. I'm going on a business trip next week to Washington, DC and most of my work clothes are starting to look a little sloppy since I've lost a total of about 50 lbs since my first consultation with my surgeon. Anyways, today was the first time in over 10 years that I've shopped somewhere other than Lane Bryant! Don't get me wrong, I really like their store, and I'm still wearing plus sizes so I'm sure I'll still shop there - but it was such a thrill to go into a "regular" store! My next goal - fly on a plane without requesting a seat belt extender!!

Good for you! Soon enough there won't be a lane Bryant tag left in your closet!

WOO HOO!!! I am so excited for you!! I bet it was so nice to buy what you wanted to buy and not "what fit" I have my brothers wedding to attend in the end of Sept and hope to have the same motivating experience. I hope I will have a big dramatic drop like yours!!! It will be nice to see peoples reactions. I cant wait until a reg airline seat is a little big!!!

Yeah for you! That is so inspiring! I will be on a plane the first week in Sept. and that was one of the things I said on another thread that I can't wait to see. The last time I was on one was in May09 and I could barely click without asking for the extender. I was praying I wouldn't have to ask. I sat down, pulled the seat belt all the way over and it barely clicked. I had to suck it in and it wasn't pretty. I think this time it will be different even with 25lbs. gone. I have lost inches also, so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I have decided not to shop in the big girls stores anymore and wait but I am retired so it is easier for me. Congrats! That is such a milestone!
