it's normal to feel excruciating, burning pain if you sneeze when it hasn't even been a week after surgery, right? for me, it's a burning, acute pain in the muscle to the left of my belly button (incisions are a few inches above the painful area)

i keep trying to make myself not sneeze if i feel one coming on because it hurts so much. but sometimes i can't and all i can do is brace myself for the pain. it sucks so badly.

oh it does suck. i had a sneezing attack a couple days ago and it was not fun. laughing hard is also uncomfortable.

Got the same thing..If I feel it coming on I try and brace my hand against the sore area to give it some support when it moves.. While the comfort I get is minimal, it sure does help....

They gave me a Bari-Bear at the hospital which helps greatly. If you have a "hard" pillow available, keep it near and hold it against your abdomen when coughing, sneezing, etc and it will really help. My sneezing attacks come in 3's...never had anything like it before...go figure!
