I am about to have my lap band surgery on the 29th of July and I am looking for a support group near or in Jackson Michigan. If anyone knows of one please let me know so that I may go.

Where are you getting the surgery done?

I am in Lansing --

I had my surgery done at Hurely in Flint. It was done on July 29th. When are you getting yours done and where?

I got my lap band on April 28, 2009 here in Lansing ....

The surgeon's office has once a month post-op meetings -- but they are lecture style - not really a support group.

I am hoping to find a "Support/talk group" in the Lansing area............

If I want to go to a support group Hurley has one but it is an hour and half awy from me. I am hoping to find one closer too.

I had my surgery in Saginaw at Covenant. We have a support group. I know it is further away though.

I'm closer to Houghton Lake. Any one know of a support group up here?
