I am new here but looking forward to learning what I can.

I am happy to say that Bluecross Blueshield approved my surgery! I need to receive the letter, see the surgeon, and schedule a date. I am hoping to have the surgery done by the end of July.

So it begins.

Supposedly my doc's ofc was ready to submit to BCBS last Thursday. How long did it take from submission until you got approval?

The request was submitted on July 1, last Wednesday. I called them yesterday, July 7 on another matter and also learned that I had been approved. So just less than a week. I was told to expect a verbal approval in a week and the official approval letter in another week.
