Introduction

Hello, I am looking for support from people that have been banded for awhile. I was banded in Georgetown, Ky in September 2007. I can't seem to find anyone from our old websites/chats and I am so frustrated with my bandlife. "Is anybody out there?" After having many fills, a large unfill and fills again, I am feeling quite tight. My last fill was 12 days ago. :smile2: I've only lost 18 pounds since my 07 surgery. HELP!

Welcome back. I was banded in Sept. of 07 as well. Were here to help you out. Just e-mail if you wish. Sounds like you have had some issues with the band etc. Even to be down 27 lbs that is great. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for responding Chris. I read what others have lost and I know that I need to have lost more than 18 pounnds in what is now almost 2 years. I really need to walk but have to take alieve just to walk due to arthritis pain. I also think water is a big factor but I seem to have trouble getting it in between the meals. What have you found that works for you?

Hi BarbieAnn, and welcome to LBT. We are glad to have you join us.

You said you are feeling quite tight right now. Does that mean you are having trouble getting anything down, including fluids? Or, are you now at proper restriction? Have you had any problems with acid reflux?

Also, I am not sure if you are tracking your daily intake or not, but very often that helps. Sometimes it can be quite surprising to find that things we think are quite healthy can actually be loaded with calories. If you are not tracking your food, I would suggest doing so. I like www.thedailyplate.com and www.fitday.com . They are both great sites and are free.

Hi Susan, thanks for responding. I can keep liquids down but yesterday I had some real trouble with some noodles. I was keeping record of intake on the weight watchers web site but it was expensive. I think I will look at the daily plate. I noticed that you went to the sleeve revision. Did you like the band? I am wondering about if my band is going to be the best choice. I was told to take in about 1200 calories to see weight loss. I havent had reflux.

So good to hear from you. Thank you
