Newly Banded in Chicago

Hi, My name is DJ. I was banded this past Monday, June 8 at the Emmanuel Med Center in Mexico. Dr. Almanza Reyes was the doctor. I am very pleased with the surgery and after care. He did a great job! The first three days my mid- section was sore from surgery and gas. I arrived home home Wed, and everyday I am stronger. The gas in my left arm is getting better. I lost 10 lbs since surgery. The best thing is that I am no longer hungry!!!

My only regret is that I did not do this 10 years ago. I was tired of suffering the effects of being over weight-obese. I have 100 lbs to go.

Hi DJ,

Congrats on being newly banded! I am also newly banded. I had mine done on June 1st. Since starting my 2 week pre-op diet I am down about 23 pounds so far. I move to pureed foods starting monday and I am looking forward to that!!

Jackie

Wow! Congrats to BOTH of you!
