My paperwork was submitted yesterday to Tricare. Today I checked the website and it has approved everything but the surgery. It says the surgery is pending review, but they approved the fills and a port revision incase I need that. So should I just assume I am approved? I am so excited Hopefully I will get banded this month. woohoo:thumbup:

I registerd with Tricare North, and ugggh, I have to wait for a security code to come in the mail before I can access "my-Tricare". I leave for a 2 week florida trip in a few days (won't get my mail) so I guess I'll have to hope my surgeon's office calls me on my cell phone or notifies me by e-mail. What a distraction this could potentialy be on my vacation:[ I'll keep my fingers crossed though and try to remain optimistic. Maybe I'll get good news and be in the perfect place to celebrate!

I am sorry about that. I didn't have any security code. I get so nervous about having to wait if I didn't do the online thing I would probably call Tricare everyday. LOL Jennifer

Crap!!! I just called Tricare and asked why my fills were approved but the surgery says pending review. She lady said it is because a medical professional needs to review my stuff. She said don't assume I am approved. ARGGG I was so happy to see the fills were approved but now I have to sit and wait.... ARG:cursing:

It is still pending review. I swear I check at least 10 times a day. I am freak'n out..... I better get approved or I will hurt someone..LOL I am 110 lbs overweight. I have 1 co-morbity HB So they should have no reason to deny me. I am stressing way to much:scared2: Jennifer

Well Triwests website still says pending review but I decided to call Tricare. Well today i was APPROVED!! she said that it was approved today so they haven't put it up yet. After I got off the phone with her I started screaming, then realised my windows were open. LOL But I just started crying, almost uncontrolably. My 4 year old says "Why you crying momma" I said "Cause I am happy" then he said "OH, you are crying tears of joy?" I said yes and just had to laugh at him. I thank everyone who showed support while I was awaiting approval and I will continue to show my support for everyone else waiting for their approval. I probably won't have a date till tomorrow. But I will keep everyone posted.....Jennifer

CONGTRATULATIONS!!! I have been following your progress as I also have Triwest. I weigh about the same as you so it gives me hope that I will get approved also! That is so exciting!!!

Well my date won't be offical until tomorrow but the surgeons office has scheduled it for July 28th. Tricare won't fax them my approval till tomorrow... But My birthday is July 24th so I guess happy birthday to me...LOL I was hoping for later this month but my doc is on vacation from June 25 - July 10th. So as long as I have a date then I know when to look forward too..... Jennifer
