I've only had 2 fills thus far so I'm not the best person to tell you but I don't think that's normal. Fills tend to get tighter within the first 14 days after a fill so the fact that you just had the fill yesterday and your feel so tight is a little concerning. Did it feel this way when you left the doc's office. My doc usually has me drink a full cup of water before leaving his office. You may want to check with your doc and get their opinion on the situation,

Some will tell you to wait it out. I would say go back and have just a little bit removed. You are probably really close to where you need to be. It's not good for you or your band to stay too tight.

IF it were not Friday today, I would say if it's not better by in the morning, go to the doc for a small unfill. BUT it is Friday AND Monday is a holiday. I say call your doc's office when they open and go in for a small unfill. Sometimes as little as .2cc can relieve the problem. What you definitely do not want is for this not to resolve itself and you find yourself unable to drink for three days and until whenever on Tuesday they could get you in the office.

It could relax on its own enough to be fine but you cannot predict that and, like I said, you're looking at a 3 day weekend. Caution would make it the very wise choice to go back to your doc.

I agree with Cathy, Call the Dr as soon as they open. Have you tried warm liquids? I have had 9 fills and 1 unfil, have 8.6 in my band. The unfill took .4 cc out and relieved all the sliming and Pb'ing. Warm liquids worked better during the 3 weeks that my band seem to tighten everyday. But, on the other side, It will keep you honest, and will also loosen as your stomach wall thins out. I don't know how fast you have been losing wt. Most of my fills had restriction about 2-3 weeks before the band needed another adjustment. With only 4 fills and sitting at 7cc, that seems a little fast to me. It took me 15 months to get to 9cc. Good luck..

the same thing happen to me monday, i went in for my fourth fill. i got a band that holds 4cc.he gave me a 1/2 cc as always in my band.it hurt to drink water i had to take one of two sips it still hurt so thursday i decided to go back an see if he would do a small unfill. but he did not.i think i was swollen. but the same day it went away no more pain, i can swallow fine now i think the band had to readjust.anyways since monday i have droped 12 pounds.i cannot believe it at first i got scared an said no way. the doctor says you are doing good.monday i went in for my fill an weighted at 261 by thursday i droped tp 248. now thats a change.give it some time maybe you are still swollen .of if you eaten anything something might be stuck.like the doctor told me.stay dehydrated over the weekend. sorry for the long post.
