I'm brand new here tonight and interested in hearing from other people who are beginning the process of the lap band surgery. I go for my seminar July 30th. I am on a cancellation list and I am hoping to get in sooner.

I am most interested in hearing other people's thoughts and/or fears. I'm excited and scared at the same time.

Hi there! I have my consultation with the surgeon on Wednesday as well as a meeting with a dietician. I had my psych exam done last week. I went to a seminar on April 23, but found that my insurance would not cover that bariatric surgeon because the program was not a "center of excellence". So, here is round 2. Kind of a bummer because the first place was MUCH more intense, closer to home, required a huge commitment from the patient and was much cheaper!! Oh well, I am looking forward to my appt on Wednesday and I hope to get scheduled SOON for my surgery! Once I got my mind set on the lapband, I just can't wait for the process to start.
