Hi all my name is steve and this is my first posting and I'm looking for some help and suggestions. I'm 60 years old and I'm thinking of getting a Lap Band and i'd like you to tell me what to look forword to. Yes I have had an introduction to the banding but I wanted to ask as many people as I can in what they think?

Welcome to LapBandTalk!

Look around and you'll get a good idea of what life with a band is like. The Post-Op and the General Support sections, in particular, are good for that.

best thing is to read around a bit and ask questions. Remember most people post more when they have problems than when all is going well so keep that in mind when hear about troubles or concerns. There are many more "happies" than regrets since I've been banded.
