I went for my 4th fill- up to 6cc-2 days later I felt no restriction at all- I s/w the PA at my MD's office- she sied sometimes the saline disappears and I should come back for another fill- I am going on a cruise -and I can't get there sooner--I am really freaking out- Has this happened to anyone else? I will go back in to the doctors office in 3 weeks-for another fill- but am extremely upset- I can even drink water after eating-Not Happy!!!:w00t:

Why would the saline just "disappear"? To where? That's not logical! More likely there's a leak or they didn't put any back in or they missed your port...or some other such thing. I'm sure you're upset; I don't blame you! Are you sure there's no way you can get back in before you leave?

Ya....that doesn't make sense. Disappear? Hmm.... Something sounds fishy! I would definitely go back before you go, but be careful, you don't wanna be overfilled on your vacation and have an episode. I just came back from Vegas and I held off on my fill until I got back. I think I made a wise choice. I'm not so restricted either. I had 3 fills 4.5 cc's so far. However, I'm starting not to snack as much, which is great!

Saline inserted properly into your band does not disappear. It can leak out though if the band is damaged.
