Congratulations, and welcome!

hi there. I am 4 days post op I got banded on the 3ed. So how are you doing? I feel great today. Yes I am still very sore but so much better then yesterday and the day before that. Each day it's getting better!! I hope you can say the same. I am eating cream of chicken soup which is very old right now, so last night I had vegetable soup from cambples I just put it in the blender and it looked like baby food.. but tasted much better!!! Went down fine. I also have some strawberry jello I've been eating, chocolate pudding, just made some butterscotch so I will be having that a little later when I get hungry. Cinneimin apple sauce, it's so yummy. SF popcycles and that's about it so far. Crystal light drinks, water, etc. Hope this helps you.

HI there,

Nothing to really add to the thread. just wanted to say hello and welcome =)

Craig

Ashley, sounds like you are already on full liquids and mushies. Are you sure you get to eat all that so soon? If so, you are one lucky chickie! (it's possible...all docs are different)...

Hello,

I was also banded on the 4th. I'm still a little sore, but have been up and about, worked from home on Friday and d

id sneak and drove to the store today......this not driving for 2 weeks is not going to work. I've been drinking crystle light, carnation instead Breakfast, skim milk, soy milk (with SF hot chocolate), SF Jello, cream of chicken soup, and write now a cup of tomato soup. Didn't think we could have pudding (can you drink pudding through a straw)? I do have watered down apple sauce to put my crushed meds in.......which is hard to get down due to the bitterness. I seems to be able to get the right amount of liquids per day, but I think I will struggle with getting all the Protein.

Good Luck......let me know if anyone has more food suggustions.

Hi letsgetitstarted,I also was banded on the 4th,I went out to the grocery store today also hairdresser last night,I am single in have noone to help me drive so I had to take a chance not bad at all no pain from driving...By THE WAY VERY TIRED NOW SO THATS ALL THE EXERCISE FOR ME TODAY.

Really, well I got a booklet the day I left the hospital and it says, day 2 post op and for the next 2 weeks thats what i can have. BUt i can't have mashed potatoes or stuffing or macn n cheese nothing like that. BUt yeah thats what I can have. And it doesn't bother me at all. Everything go's down just fine. If you suck hard you can get pudding through a straw!! haha My surgeon even told me if I wanted to put a piece of pizza in the blender and drink it then I could!! hahah But that's kinda gross i would think!

Good! Lucky you! I could only have clear liquids the first week and got so tired of broth I could've killed someone!

just had my surgery on Tuesday. Today was a turning point. feeling much better, although still in discomfort and pain...though much less!! I have to say that I was not very impressed with my doctors office. I am still not 100% sure of what I can eat. The nurse told me i could have cream soups. I asked her if butternut squash an potato soup was ok and she said yes, but that is not a clear liquid!!! Ugh!! i was very hungry tonight, and ate some of the soup. feel better now. this is going to be a long road ahead!!!
