I'm starting my journey..=]

Hello my name is StephOnee, I am new to the site and I just wanted to say hi. I started seeking information on Lap-Band about a year ago, and I am finally about to start my journey. I have been on a weight loss roller coaster for about as long as I can remember. I had brief sucess with appitite suppresing pills, but as soon as I stoped using them I pit falled further than ever! I am pretty young and I know that being 20 years old and feeling like I'm 50 isn't the best way to go through life. I knew that I had a problem when I stoped enjoying life. I can't wait to start living life again..my new life will begin on April 6, 2009 [well hopefully we haven't exactly set the date in stone yet, but that's the date I'm hoping for]. The only thing I'm truly concerned about is having excess skin once I have lost all my weight. Has anyone experienced having excess skin after major weight loss? let me know

Welcome ! The excess skin is very individual, some have better luck then others. I have an issue with excess skin but clothed I look pretty good  I may do something about it in the future BUT even if I don't I am WAY better off now then a year ago. Good-Luck to you
