Wow I am so excited-not about actually having surgery, yuck, but about the long term after the surgery..

I started the Optifast on Tuesday morning... I was at 226.5 and now am at 222.

Its not really that bad, so far I am not real hungry, I try to drink a lot of fluids,, and hold off on the Optifast until I am really hungry,,,, then I drink one....

I get 5 a day plus the Water, s/f Jello, crystal light etc....

My Mom is with me on this, she says ah pretty soon you are on your way to wearing a bikini again,, or being a model,,,,lol . her way of being supportive.... She is also morbidly obese...She is worried and was trying to get time off of work to come down and be with me, but cant..

My hunny will be with me during and bringing me home the day after surgery, but he cant really afford to take that much more time off of work...

So I am hoping to be able to do things on my own on the 2nd day after surgery... C'mon I said hoping,,,,lol

And my count down has started.... 12 days,,, yippeeeeeee :banana

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
