2 days post-op

hello all! I am 2 days post-op. Thurs and Fri were really tough days- i was in alot of pain. I still feel very stomach heavy whenever I stand up. I am also very Hungry- I have had my 2 protein shakes today. Does anyone have any suggestions what else I can drink or snack on to make the hunger pains go away. I am a teacher and I am planing on going back to work on Monday. I teach 3rd grade. I think that I will be fine.

I am feeling the same. I had my surgery Feb 18th and I have a sharp pain right below my left rib that keeps nagging @ me. I'm also hungry, but I am drinking cranberry juice, chicken brother, sugar free jello, sugar free pops and lots of water. I just keep trying to get focused on the ultimate goal to get me through. I also hope to feel MUCH better soon, I start work again on Monday.

I didn't even get Protein shakes for the first week! They helped a lot once I could have them!

The fact is, odds are you're going to be hungry. I know I surely was! But stick with the doc's recommendations; you'll make it through, be proud of your accomplishment, and be set up to succeed! Good luck!
