What was your "Last Supper"?

A week from tonight, I will be banded. In light of this, I've been saying good-bye to my favorite foods. No more champagne, no more brownies, no more Chineese buffet or Indian buffet. No more going to nice restaurants or parties.

Well, if I didn't have the metabolism of a rock, I wouldn't have to do this. I need something mechanical that will beat my body into submission. I've fought with my weight my whole life - time to show it who's boss!:frown:

So, what was your "Last Supper" before you were banded?

Wow, you sound like you are getting a death sentence.. I can't wait for you to find out that if you do this right, you can still enjoy a lot of the same stuff you do now, just not as much of it and different food choices.. food won't be your top priority anymore.

But my last big meal that I completely stuffed myself until it made me almost want to puke was two big bowls of Pasta with meat sauce and 4 huge pieces of texas toast. when I think about eating this now I want to hurl.. man, I don't miss stuffing myself at all. That was always the worst feeling in the world, but I did it anyway!

You still have a nice life.. shoot even better because I remember sitting on my couch with a belly ache for 2 hours belching up food and now I can actually enjoy my life better. You'll be fine.

I did not have a last supper. I found out my surgery date, and had to stat the liquid diet that day.

I did get a small cheat day on Christmas, as it was in the middle of my liquid diet. I had roast beef, mashed potatoes veggies, etc.

My last supper was the night before I started my pre-op diet. I had a steam pot from Joe's Crab shack and all of the trimmings. I also had some beer and a mixed drink. It was wonderful, but I was so stuffed and miserable afterwards, I was more than ready to start my pre-op diet.

I had Kentucky Fried chicken. Which was stupid because I can still easily eat the stuff.

In fact there isn't much I can't eat. Yes even steak. I can eat steak without any problems, actually.
