So i work with patients that have had this type of surgery everyday. So, now I have started this journey. I have my first consultation with my surgeon on Jan. 21, 1983. Hi Good luck to you!! I'm right there with ya on hoping to have a band soon! :cursing: I've finished most of my testing. I have my sleep study to do tonight and an EGD. My insurance changed, so now I have to undergo a 3-month supervised diet, so hopefully within the next 3 to 4 months I'll have it. I surely hope so.

Please keep us posted on how things go!

Congrats on your decision and good luck!

Hi and welcome ! I too am an RN, was in critical care (ER & ICU) for 20 years, however move into the Pharmaceutical field a little over 10 years ago. I have completed all the pre-surgical tasks required by the insurance company and was just approved, surgery is scheduled for the 30th of this month.....a little over 2 weeks away, and I am thrilled.

Good luck to you along your journey !
