i m planing to get the lap band surgery after i put in for approval. Im waiting on my final testing resuts which will be ready on Jan.22. My BMI is about 44 and I have many health issues to take care of by losing weight. I m prepared for a life change. I first went to start the medical process about June so I hope my pre testing should be ready. Good luck to all.

Welcome to LapBandTalk!

I'm going to move this to the Intro section so people can see it.

i am very new to this? i just found this sight looking for information on the band. I am wanting to get it done and have my insurance pay most the cost. How do I even start the process. I know the wait can be some time I don't want get the surgery until May or June so I have much time to do the research and see if this is a right road for me. could anyone give me some insights. thanks:unsure:

Welcome nomers. You need to start researching surgeons. =See who is in your insurance plan and then search the web looking for info about them.

Once you get a small list of acceptable surgeons, you can start going to their seminars. Once you pick one, you schedule a consult and they take it from there.

Hope that helps!
