After delays for the past 4 months I finally got banded yesterday and I m home today starting on my liquid diet. So far all is well just alittle pain at port sight . I hope to start my success stories for a long time,good luck to all:thumbup:

i have not been on in awhile beccause I was suppose to have surgery on March 11 and went to my pre op physical on March 4th but low and behold on the 5th I came down with Bronchitis so surgery was postponed until i got rid of it. Now after 4 weeks of bronchitis is gone I now have a plain old fashioned cold. So now I have to get rid of this cold before doing anything. Whats next

This weekend i went to urgent care for my cold and explained about my scheduled surgery so they put me on anti biotics,inhalers and cough pills. This morning i called my surgeon and they told me someone will call me later to reschedule so right now i m very agravated.

i m scheduled for surgery in 5 days(mar.11),now I m starting to come down with a cold after 10 mos. of preparing for the surgery. This happen to anyone else and did you have to delay your date?

When I first started using my CPAP I used a full mask but it didn t agree with me so I switched to nasal pillows and that works great for me but it is up to individual user themselves

hi. I m still waiting for approval I handed in all test and paper work about 8 days ago so I should hear soon . Did anyone have their gallbladder removed at the same time, my doctor is requesting to do it simutaniously since I m loaded with gallstones . I never had any symtoms but it was discovered on my sonogram

does lap band mean the end of seltzer ,soda ,beer etc for life?

thank you again i have all the info i need about losing to much as i also talked with my medical admin and was made aware my insurance co. will cover me as soon as all my pre test are in because of my medical history

thank you all fr the great response on my question about aaaaLap Band vs by-pass. I m convinced Lap band is gonna be best for me as i believe I just need the start cause i ve lost before and my BMI is about 43 thanks again

i went to a seminar last night and almost everyone started off wanting lap band but ended up going with by pass but i still want lap band but i wonder why so many changrd thier minds

DOES anyone know about ins approval if you lose weight before authorization. I m aware of the 2 week pre op diet but if you can lose weight 6 mos before surgery ,why do you need surgery?

i m planing to get the lap band surgery after i put in for approval. Im waiting on my final testing resuts which will be ready on Jan.22. My BMI is about 44 and I have many health issues to take care of by losing weight. I m prepared for a life change. I first went to start the medical process about June so I hope my pre testing should be ready. Good luck to all.
