Stuck episodes

What happens after something gets stuck. I haven't had the problem yet, I only have had something stuck for a few seconds then it passes, but what happens after something really gets really stuck. I hear people say that it was stuck for 1/2 hour before it passed. Can you go right back to eating, or should you do liquids for a day?

hi, I had my 3rd fill on Dec 22 and have had two real stuck episodes since then. The first lasted about 20 minutes until I had my husband pull over and I got out of our vehicle and drank down some water. I then almost vomited after sliming. I never knew what sliming was until then, but apparently it is where basically you feel like you are manufacturing spit and it just gets to where there is so much of it in your mouth you don't know where it is coming from. Anyway, so once I kind of regurgitated (did i spell that right?!) I was okay. I had tried to eat a flour tortilla. Today, Mexican food again, this time dorita chips. NO more tortila, chips or bread for me. Today, did not last as long, but a few embarassing moments in the restroom waiting in line for my turn. I did not think I would make it but I did and did not throw up, but came very close. I will be much more careful because that is not enjoyable in the least. I am glad for the resstriction because honestly it is the first since first having surgery. Oh well, so much for me. Good luck with the band. I have lost a total of 42 pounds since September 26, 2008, my surgery date.
