Burning sensation in stomach

I was banded on 12/10 and I have transitioned from liquid post-op diet to mushie stage. Last night I started feeling pain in my left side (not the port pain) but further left of the port. This morning I have had terrible burning feeling in my stomach. It feels like it is on fire. Like terrible acid reflux, but is not coming up esophagus. Any one know what this is.

i had mine 12/8 and if that was happning with me i would call my doctor have you been sticking with the program?

Definitely call your doctor as soon as possible. You might want to try an antacid in the mean time and go back to liquids.

It might be something minor, but you never want to risk that it is something more serious. Any significant pain should be reported to your doctor immediately.

I too was recently Banded, 12/08/08, and had pain there too. My was gas and I took Gas-X strips which are a "God sent". Walking helps also with the gas pains. Check with your doctor and good luck. I still have gas EVERYDAY now:cursing:. I guess that burping and belching are going to be a part of the NEW me!!
