constipation

I am now 5 days post-op with out a bowel movement, I have been on liquid for a total of 11 days. Should I be worried? I am not uncomfortable and am passing gas. Don't go back to the Dr's for 5 more days. Any feedback would be appreciated:

I had the same problem, I ended up having a BM 4 days post-op, but it was a horror, extremely painful. I advise you to take something for it, Milk of magnesia o dulcolax (the pill is tiny)...hope you "go" soon

YES you should be concerned! If you can, call your surgeon and find out what he advises you to take. Do it NOW, don't wait until Monday! If you can't get your surgeon, call a pharmacist, explain the band procedure, and find out what they recommend. Good luck.

Kelly, has any replied to help w/ your ticker? I'm also having trouble.

Ticker questions are pretty common; I don't remember how I did mine but here's instructions I bookmarked for questions like these! Hope they help.....no one has ever said.....
