I am scheduled for consultation with my regular doctor for a referal. I've had lots of negative feedback from people but not from anyone who has actually had the surgery. Has anyone had downfalls to this surgery like alot of vomiting?:laugh:

Isn't it great how people who haven't had the surgery and maybe don't even have a weight problem are such experts on it. :tongue_smilie:

If you read the various boards here, you'll get a good idea of what post-op lap-band life is like. I have a sleeve myself so I can't really tell you about band life.

Hello, Just wanted to let you know that I too was doing exactually as you. Everyone that I talked to would give me something negative but none of them had ever done anything like this. So I took it upon myself to do all the research and to decide on my own. This website has helpped me out wonderfully. Any question no matter how big or small, someone has an answer for you. I myself just was banded on 12-9-08. So far so good. No complications, no vomitting, I actually feel pretty good. Only thing is, I never dreamed I was going to be as sore as I am. Im a week and a half out and still sore but everyday is a better day. If there is anything I can help you with, please let me know and I'll be happy to answer if I can.
