Hi SWLEWIS. Welcome. You are sooooo right - what a wonderful way to bring in a new year.... with a new you. Congratulations on getting your date. You will love LBT. Keep reading and asking questions. Everyone is very friendly and very helpful. I read and asked a lot before my surgery and by the time I was wheeled into the operating room, I was not even nervous. Do you have a pre-op diet?? The holidays are a fun time, but there sure are a lot of temptations. Stay busy, focus on your loved ones, and keep your goal in mind. If you have any questions or concerns, I would be glad to help you out. I'm no expert, but I am a good listener and I've been reading other's questions and answers for awhile now. Good luck to you, take good care of yourself, and enjoy the holidays!!! Becky

That is great news! I have done all the steps that my surgeon requires thus far, but have received my blood tests back from my physical and my thyroid is inactive and my triglycerides are elevated and therefore she won't recommend me for surgery. Isn't this the reason I am entertaining getting banded? Has anyone else had this problem? I am now really confused as to what to do.
