Type2 diabetes

Has anyone been banded that has type 2 diabetes. curious know how its going. I'm type 2 and was told that with lap band surgery it will help and that I may be able to come off insulin, and also lower my blood pressure.

I have no date yet, going thru 6mo supv diet

    I was just diagnosed a month before my surgery. The doctor wanted me to try to control it with food so I didnt start meds at that time. When I went back to my doctor last month he couldnt get over how great my labs were! He said everything was normal, sugar & cholesterol! I feel great and love my band!
