I was banded 5 days ago in SC. Been a little sore around the port area, but it seems to get better each day. Lost 8 lbs. so far. I found this site before surgery and it was very helpful with my worries about the surgery. So much useful information. Hope to make some friends here:smile2:

Hi Punkin61, I was banded on the same day in San Diego. I've had more pain than expected but it's manageable with the pain medication. Like you, the port area is the most sensitive and slowest to heal. Everyday is huge progress in how I'm able to move around (made the bed today and shopped) and how much weight is already coming off.

I'm sure I'm not taking in the necessary calories. I'll have some sugar free Jello, Protein Water, and maybe a little broth. My stomach sounds like it's fighting a war and I supposed it is.

I find this site to be extremely helpful and interesting. I can't tear myself away.
