Help, port pain

I am 4 weeks post op. A couple of days ago I started having a stabbing, almost a burning pain at my port site. It hurts most when I get up out of a chair, roll over in bed, bend over, or lift something. I'm also having pain across the middle of my back. I'm scared something is wrong. :grouphug:

Happy Thanksgiving!

Why haven't you called your doctor about this?

Call your doctor. There will be someone there to assist you even on this holiday.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I had this happen too at about 4 weeks out, but mine was caused from starting abdominal exercises again before I was ready. My doctor told me to back off and give it another 2 weeks.

I agree you should call your doctor just in case. If there is any chance of infection it could be a much more serious issue. Does the port site look any different? Did you notice any redness, does it feel hot or look swollen?

Please call your Doctor, ASAP. I had similar pains, and it turned out the port and the tube were infected. A small problem, but still worth it in the long run.
