Welcome :Dancing_sorry: and congrats on your lap band. I will be having my surgery also at Alta Bates in Oakland sometime in the next few months. How would you rate the doctors and staff/room...and everything else?

Hey there......I'm 4 days out now & still struggling!! The pain is letting up but I'm still nauseaus & now having diarrhea!! This is tough !!

Alta Bates is a very nice hospital,I was overall very happy with Dr Kim & all my nurses(with exception of one nurse who didn;t want to help me with my pain,we had words!!)

It was a good experience and I keep reading how it gets better but it is a definite struggle at this point, get ready for the hunger & the 2 weeks of liquids diet it is pretty brutal.

Sorry I'm just being completely honest!!

Hope this helps!!I keep telling myself no pain, no gain!!

Good luck & best wishes!!

Hi Lacasst - Hope you feel better soon and thanks for the heads up on the Hunger thing with the Liquid diet. I'm trying to get myself ready for it all.

Take care
