This is my first post also, I am getting banded on 11/18. I am sure that everything will go wonderful. This is a very exciting time in our lives! Good luck!

I'm getting banded on the 7th and I'm soooo excited. I had a much more serious surgery a year ago and understand your concerns. This surgery has such minimal risk I have decided to focus on what the day will represent, "A new beginning"! We are about to change our lives and a year from now will be happier and healthier than we have been for some time. Picture yourself a year from now and where you'll be. Please post again after surgery and let us know how it went. You'll do great.

Believe it or not Mayo does not require a "pre-op" diet as far as I know. I see my dietician tomorrow, I will write more then!
