Preop Diet.

How much did you lose during the first week of your preop diet?

How much in the entire preop diet?

Also what kind of diet were you on?

I'm required to lose 5 lbs in the first week on a diet consisting of Protein shake for Breakfast, Protein Shake for lunch, and lean meat and green veggies for dinner.

I lost 15 in 3 weeks doing that (and cheating)...then another 17 doing it for 2 1/2 weeks (and NOT cheating). I didn't get "lean meat", though...I got 3 oz of lean fish, turkey or chicken (no meat) and green veggies only.

I lost 12 lbs on 2 week preop diet. It was 3 reg slim fasts and 2 low carb slim fasts. 8 oz fruit juice. Plus 48 to 64 oz of sugar free liquids, surgar free jello and surgar free popsicles.

I was on the same pre-op diet that you are on and I lost 16 pounds in 3 weeks - not sure how much of it was the first, second, or third week. Good luck to you!!! Becky

I have a BMI of 30 and waiting to see if I am a candidate. I am also 64. Looking for the pre-op diet to see what is entailed. Has anyone taken Myocel for liver detox prior to surgery.

Wishing you all well with this venture.

Thanks
