Protein Drinks...Meal Replacement or Liquid?

How do yall count a Protein drink...is it considered a meal replacment, where it counts as Breakfast or lunch? Or is it considered part of the liquid requirement for the day.

Right now I'm having one as breakfast. And, I'm having a hard time getting in all of my protein right now.

Since getting on solids I am not supposed to use shakes as a meal replacement but rather a supplement. I am to have three solid protein meals a day and if I do not reach my protein grams with my solid meals then supplement with shakes or protein shots.

Which stage are you in - liquid diet, pureed, or solids? I have just finished the prerequisite classes and we were told that you count it as protein and also as part of your liquid for the day. Hope this helps! Mary:smile2:
