My doctor said I could take the gauze bandages off after 3 days, and that the steristrips below the bandage would fall off on their own after 10-11 days. You have to take the gauze off on your own.

I was allowed to take my gauze off the next day and then the steri strips started coming off themselves in7-10 days. I had to pull them off because not wanting to do anything normally, I had an allergic reaction to the steri strips (the adhesive, I'm also allergice to bandaid adhesive) and they couldn't be on anymore!

i wish i had steri strips, my insisions are wide open and my dr. said that it is fine. but...i feel they are infected and he said they are fine...hmmm....

that's weird, I think there should have been steri strups. I took a shower today, banded yesterday, I had to peel off my bandages, hurt a litle.
